- FRANK ZAPPA and the MOTHERS of INVENTION: "COSMIC DEBRIS" ... One of my classic favorites, Uncle Frank and The Mothers of Invention (hey they are mothers to if not the conventional type!), for Mother's Day Sunday May 9. The track "Cosmic Debris" for the Space Debris Convention going on in Montreal and for the new Startrek movie.
- CARLOS SANTANA: "YOUR TOUCH" ... for World Fair Trade Day and this year's theme "Beat a DRUM against poverty" and for all you mother's with "Your Touch."
- ZAP MAMA: "HELLO MAMA" (Brussels, Belgium) ... To you groovin' mothers on Mother's Day. Get your funk on.
- Sunday May 10: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my own mum down in the Eastern Townships and to all the mums. Go Team Canada Go ... World Cup International Hockey Gold Medal match Sunday May 9 @ 2;00 pm ET. We lost to the Russians in overtime in last year's Quebec City Gold medal match. This is the rematch versus Russia. Each team has taken 24 Golds since inception.
- Saturday May 9: Morning of doggy walking ole Nina and catching the 10:15 Budokon class @ Zazen Spa before rolling into the radio station to host episode # 118 on The Earth Lounge @ 2:30 pm.
- Friday May 8: In-line skating outing to end the work day. Over to Dix Mille Villages on Monkland in NDG to attend the Coffee House event with poets, musicians, writers performing. An event held in support of World Fair Trade Day. Interviews with Assistant Manager Tanya and event publicist Barbara. A pit stop into the old watering hole, the Typhon Lounge, after wards.
- Thursday
May 7: Back at it playing Indoor Beach Volleyball @ 365 Volleyball with my team the SOBs, yes the Suns of Beeyotches (Suns of Beaches ... pun.)
- Wednesday May 6: An evening Budokon class @ Zazen Spa. Back at it after the Budokon Academy AP weekend. Picked up bicycle chain grease, a bio version, @ Ca Roule.
- Tuesday
May 5: My Bicycle's rear tire had a slow leak. Damn annoying. Was going flat every few days. Did the spring bicycle tune-up; a run to Canadian Tire for a new tire tube; installation and tuning; road worthy again!
- Monday May 4: Spring tune-up and repairs for my In-line Skates. Found replacement brake @ Ca Roule in Old Montreal. Not so easy to find as my skates are a discontinued make & model.
- Friday May 1 thru Sunday May 3: Attended an intense Budokon Academy weekend being held here in Montreal. The martial art practice's founder Cameron Shayne and his wife Liz were in town for this academy weekend. A combination of theory and working it hard over 3-days with 12-hours per day of theory and training. A good time and a heck of a workout. Congratulations to my Budoko buddies who attained their red belts. A dinner hosted by the local Sensei over the weekend and a group dinner out @ Claremont on Friday evening. Had to slide out for a period Saturday morning from the training to get episode # 117 of The Earth Lounge into the station and do a final edit to what I recorded very early Saturday morning using my home studio.
- Photos from the Budokon Academy during the 3-day Budokon Academy held in Montreal May 1-3: (1) Budokon Koncho Cameron Shayne (on mat in photo) demonstrating grappling techniques with a white belt practitioner. (2) Red Belts teaching grappling escape techniques to white belts. (3) Koncho Liz working with a white belts reverse kick.

- The daily dog walks for Nina. Watching NHL Hockey playoff matches.
