Photos:  (1) This is urban ecology! A feisty dandelion pushed its way up through the sidewalk-to-wall gap on Wellington Street in Old Montreal to blossom a few days ago ... And that mystery snoot to the bottom right is not a black bear, its just Nina's my Black Labrador. LOL (2) Earth Day "anti-plastic bag" point made outside  Victoria Square Metro Station and The W Hotel by a group hanging out plastic bags on twine cord around the perimeter of the park.

OUT & ABOUT:
  • Friday May 1 thru Sunday May 3: Attended a Budokon Academy weekend being held here in Montreal. The martial art practice's founder Cameron Shayne and his wife Liz were in town for this academy weekend. A combination of theory and working it hard over 3-days of training. A good time and a heck of a workout. A dinner hosted by the local Sensei over the weekend and a group dinner out @ Claremont on Friday evening. Had to slide out for a period Saturday morning from the training to get this episode of The Earth Lounge into the station and do a final edit to what I recorded very early Saturday morning using my home studio.
  • Thursday April 30: Bailed-out of Indoor Beach Volleyball @ 365 Volleyball in the evening in order to catch a special Budokon session @ Zazen Spa with Sensei Liz Shayne (wife of the founder of Budokon.) Such a great day I did an afternoon Budoon Kata workout outdoors in the park.
  • Wednesday April 29: An evening Budokon class @ Zazen Spa in the evening.
  • Tuesday April 28: My Bicycle's rear tire has a slow leak. Damn annoying. Goes flat every few days. Add to the To-Do repair list. The brake pad on my in-line skates is worn out as well. Spring tune up time.
  • Monday April 27: An Advanced Budokon class @ Zazen Spa in the evening.
  • Sunday April 26: Played 2x2 Indoor Beach Volleyball @ 365 Volleyball (drop-in) as it was soggy outdoors.
  • Also Did yoga-budokon home workouts. One must practice. Good old 'Patience and Perseverance.' The daily dog walks for Nina. Watching NHL Hockey playoff matches.
  • Procrastinating NHL playoff prognostications by yours truly for round #2:
    • Boston Bruins (1st seed) and Carolina Canes (4th seed): Bruins in 5-games.
    • Washington Capitals (2nd seed) and Pittsburgh Penguins (3rd seed): Capitals in 6-games.
    • Detroit Red Wings (1st seed and my team) and Anaheim Ducks (4th seed): Wings in 6-games.
    • Vancouver Canucks (2nd seed) and Chicago Blackhawks (3rd seed): Hawks in 7-games.
