Thursday October 16, 2008: Up nice and early! It is so dark now in the mornings. Anyway, the weather was overcast and the stock markets had a bad day on Wednesday.
The dog and I got in a good walk to downtown Montreal late morning.
Hey, after the poor voter turnout for the federal election how about we go with an autocracy?
Here is my proposal:
CANADA and ALASKA merge to become CANASKA!
Come on. Admit it. You are way more interested in Sarah Palin than any of the Canadian politicians. More Canadians I think watched the USA Vice-Presidential debate than got out to vote on Tuesday.
SARAH PALIN!
The rulers of the new dominion of CANASKA to be a JUNTA (since you won't vote we'll do it the ole South American style!) to be DAVID SUZUKI and SARAH PALIN!
Its the perfectly balanced government with representation from the political Left and Right; Ecology; Hockey Moms; Oil interests; State Troopers & Mounties; both a non-caucasian and a woman ruling the country!
