An Educational Event
There are several non profit organizations on site at Osheaga to teach fans to be more environmentally cautious. In 2007, Osheaga donated $.50 per ticket to the David Suzuki Foundation. Also on site with information kiosks were, Amnesty International, Engineers Without Boarders, Apathy is Boring, Action against Hunger.
Cleaner Energy
Instead of using diesel generators to power the sound and lighting systems, light towers, and food outlets, Osheaga has worked with the city of Montreal to provide grid power electricity for the entire site which drastically reduces the festivals carbon emissions.
- Played Beach Volleyball on Tuesday
- Played Softball on Thursday! My first game of the season.
- Outdoor Cardio Box workouts (in between the frequent showers of the week.)
- Portuguese restaurant and outing on St. Laurent Blvd. (The Main) to celebrate a friend's birthday.
